Villas in France

For Villamania, the Côte d’Azur has always been the central French summer destination. The coast from Menton and the Italian border towards Cannes, Saint-Raphaël, Sainte-Maxime and Saint-Tropez contains very different local markets: compact apartments close to town life, hillside villas with panoramic views, large estates and rare first-line homes.

The key is not to assume that every famous name offers the same holiday. Cannes is urban and event-driven; the Cap Ferrat and Villefranche area is more residential and enclosed; Saint-Tropez and its peninsula create a very different summer rhythm again.

The old Villamania archive also pointed towards Brittany, Normandy and the Atlantic coast as a less obvious version of France. Those regions combine historic towns and long stretches of coast with a very different architectural language and climate.

They are not our first commercial priority today, but they remain useful for the broader French destination architecture.

In France, especially on the Riviera, a small change in location can completely alter the experience: walking distance to a beach, the time needed to reach town in summer traffic, whether the house sits above the coast, or whether a car is essential.

That is why a personal search works best when it starts with the way you want to live during the stay rather than simply with a famous resort name.
